TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would achieve an indisputable and unquestionable victory in the upcoming elections. He commended the efforts of the leaders and activists of all alliance partners for their contributions to the NDA’s success.
Naidu organised a Zoom meeting with NDA candidates contesting for the Lok Sabha and the State Assembly. He praised the hard work of Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, BJP State president Purandeswari, and other alliance leaders and activists. He also provided a roadmap for the actions to be taken during the counting process on Tuesday.
“All exit polls clearly indicate the victory of the NDA, and the alliance is set to form governments both at the Centre and in the State,” Naidu told the candidates.
He added that the YSRCP is currently trying to find reasons for its anticipated defeat and that their court move concerning the poll panel’s directions on postal ballots is part of this effort. Naidu warned NDA leaders of potential irregularities and attacks from YSRCP leaders on counting day.
He emphasised the importance of counting agents ensuring officials adhere to the norms and staying vigilant while EVMs are transferred from strong-rooms to counting centers. He instructed the candidates to remain at the counting centers until they receive the declaration form from the returning officer.
BJP general secretary Arun Singh echoed Naidu’s optimism, noting that exit polls suggest the NDA will secure at least 21 Lok Sabha seats and form the State government. He advised counting agents to request recounts if they have any doubts about the process.
Purandheswari and Jana Sena Political Affairs Committee (PAC) Chairman Nadendla Manohar urged candidates to stay in touch with their legal teams, anticipating possible violent attacks from YSRCP due to their fear of defeat.
