Once a politician loses power, they become insignificant in existence, that is the case with opposition party leader Chandrababu Naidu. During the latest list of the top 100 influential persons by a media house, Chandrababu and K Chandrasekhara Rao were absent from the list. It is surprising to see their loss of importance, as they were considered among the most powerful until recently.
However, with the loss of political power and Chandrababu’s 52-day stint in prison, he has dropped from the top 100 most powerful list. Similarly, Ramoji Rao is struggling to fend off CID interrogations and Supreme Court cases, indicating his diminished ability to influence power centres.
Even KCR, the champion of Telangana State, has been omitted from the list, while the new Telangana CM, Revanth Reddy, has secured a place. The list includes names like Jagan Mohan Reddy, Uddhav Thackery, Sharad Pawar, Asaduddin Owaisi, and Akhilesh Yadav, among others. While some are currently in power, others are not.
Thus, the point here is not just the loss of power but also the loss of influence in power centre groups, leading to exclusion from the top 100 most powerful list.
