‘Naidu worried about defeat’ Taking a dig at TDP chief, Jagan says losing villains call heroes kids

In a fiery speech during the ‘Memantha Siddham Yatra’ in Anakapalle, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy didn’t hold back as he criticised TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu for his alleged failures in propelling the State forward during his 14-year tenure. Chief Minister Jagan emphasised Naidu’s resistance to English medium education for underprivileged children, a move aimed at enhancing their prospects and breaking the cycle of poverty.
“We’ve introduced several progressive initiatives like English medium instruction, Gorumudda, Vidya Kanuka, bilingual textbooks, and TOEFL classes from grade three onwards, all geared towards providing quality education and uplifting families from poverty. Yet, Chandrababu seems averse to the idea of empowering our disadvantaged youth,” remarked the Chief Minister.
Aiming Naidu’s recent remarks branding him a “bacha” (kid), Jagan questioned the TDP leader’s motives, asking, “Why fear a ‘bacha’? After all, Chandrababu had a substantial stint as chief minister, yet he now seeks alliances to stay relevant.”
Drawing from historical analogies, Jagan likened Naidu’s characterisation to the desperation of villains facing imminent defeat, who perceive all challengers as juveniles. “Whether it’s Kamsa and Krishna, Marichudu and Rama, or Ravana and Hanuman, villains often resort to belittling their adversaries when their reign is in jeopardy,” explained the Chief Minister.
Jagan continued his tirade against Naidu’s governance track record, highlighting the lack of substantial achievements during his tenure. “During the last 58 months, our administration has ushered in a wave of transformative reforms, from establishing village secretariats and Rythu Bharosa Kendras to delivering quality education and healthcare services at the grassroots level,” he asserted.
Enumerating the YSRCP government’s accomplishments, Jagan pointed to significant investments, infrastructure projects, and welfare schemes benefiting millions of citizens. Meanwhile, he criticized Naidu for reneging on his promises, citing unfulfilled commitments such as farm loan waivers, women’s empowerment initiatives, and industrial development pledges.
As the political rhetoric heats up ahead of the elections, Chief Minister Jagan rallied his supporters, urging them to scrutinize Naidu’s record and hold him accountable for his past failures. “Chandrababu’s return with hollow promises only underscores his inability to deliver tangible progress. It’s time for voters to demand real change and reject empty rhetoric,” he concluded.
