Joint Kisan Morcha national president Rakesh Tikait has said that a nationwide agitation would be launched soon demanding that the Centre take steps to provide MSP to the farm produce.
A farmers’ seminar was organised here by the AP Rythu association coordination committee on Sunday. The seminar was presided over by the former minister Vadde Sobhanadreswara Rao.
Addressing the seminar, Rakesh Tikait said the biggest problem the farmers are facing in the country now is the remunerative price for agricultural produce. The Central government had given written assurances during the farmers’ agitation to provide MSP but no none of them had been fulfilled so far.
“There is a need to carry out another massive nationwide agitation for the remunerative price for the farm produce as per the recommendations of Dr.Swaminathan,” Rakesh Tikait said.
He lauded the farmers of AP for their extensive support for the farmers’ agitation against the three farm laws. He called upon farmers’ associations to be prepared to carry out united struggles to get the demands conceded by the Central government.

Speaking on the occasion, the Apex court retired Judge said that the Modi-led government is paving the way for corporates to plunder the wealth of the 65 percent of hardworking people. The Centre surrendered to the corporates and worked for their interests only, he flayed. Ravula Venkaiah alleged that due importance was not given in the Union budget for agriculture.
He called upon farmers’ unions to make a big success of the ‘Chalo Parliament’ programme to be organised on March 25 in Delhi. Farmers union leaders B Venkat, BKU UP president Raj Vir Singh, AP Rythu Sangh state vice-president P Madhu and film actor R Narayana Murthy also spoke.
