The dispute between Nayanthara and Dhanush regarding the documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale is well-known. It appears that this issue is far from over, as Nayanthara recently posted a message about the Karma theory on her social media page. She posted, “Karma Says: When you destroy someone’s life with lies, take it as a loan, it will come back to you with interest” (sic). This post has gone viral on the internet, with netizens commenting that the actress is targeting Dhanush with this message.
To recall, the documentary featured a three-second glimpse from the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, which Dhanush produced and Vijay Sethupathi starred in. Notably, this film holds special significance for Nayanthara, as it was during its production that she first met her husband and director, Vignesh Shivan. As a result, she wanted to feature this film in her documentary. However, Dhanush denied permission, and Nayanthara ultimately used some visuals from the film without his consent.
This led to Dhanush filing a Rs 10 crore defamation petition in court. Nayanthara responded with a three-page open letter to Dhanush, but he did not reply and continued to pursue the legal battle. Now, with Nayanthara’s recent post about the Karma theory, many believe it is aimed at Dhanush.
Nayanthara’s lawyer addressed Dhanush’s legal notice, stating that they used the visuals from her personal library, which would not constitute a copyright issue.
