The BC leaders of the Telangana Congress were in shock as the party did not give them a chance to join the Congress Working Committee although Telangana is going to face elections soon.

They said that the high command gave a chance to Reddy and SC communities but forgot the BCs, who comprised more than 50 per cent of the population.

The BC leaders of Telangana Congress have been saying that BCs would show their clout during elections and that the party has to give them top priority or else they will look towards the BRS and BJP camps. But the Congress high command did not give a chance to the BC leaders of the Congress in TS.

The BC leaders of the Telangana Congress held a meeting on Saturday and demanded that the party should give 48 seats as they were strong in 48 constituencies.

One BC leader of the Congress said on condition of anonymity that the party has disappointed BC leaders by not accommodating them. Many BC leaders of the Telangana Congress are actively working for the party but the party did not recognise their contributions, he said.

He said the party gave a chance to a BC leader from Andhra Pradesh, former Minister N. Raghuveera Reddy, who is not active now.

He said that this attitude of the party is the reason for its debacles in Telangana.
He said that party leaders who appointed CWC members might not be following Rahul Gandhi’s idea of social justice.
