New Secretariat will start functioning soon after inauguration

Must read

The government is hoping to start full-fledged functioning at the new secretariat after its inauguration on April 30. The government’s idea is to move all departments to the new building at once as the government wants to use the new furniture at the new secretariat. It is learnt that only data, other materials and files will be moved to the new office.

It is said that department-wise allotments will be completed in the next two days, and the evacuation process may start next week.

The General Administration Department will issue orders regarding this. The GAD will inform departments about selecting agencies for the shifting process. After that, the shifting will be completed within a few days next week.

The Chief Minister’s Office will be on the sixth floor and the Cabinet meeting hall, and CS offices would also be on the sixth floor. The GAD, Finance, Revenue, Panchayat Raj, Municipal Administration and Irrigation Departments will get the first to fifth floors as they need a large space.

Rooms will be allotted to Ministers and their departments in one place. The shifting will take place next week after the allocation of rooms is over. The Secretariat will be inaugurated on April 30 and full-fledged functioning will start in May.
