Next 30 years belong to the youth’162nd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda observed

Grand celebrations were organised on the National Youth Day, marking Swami Vivekananda’s 162nd birth anniversary, at the Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada on Sunday. The Youth Services Department organised the celebrations, attended by around 600 representatives from across the State. TDP MLC Paruchuri Ashok Babu, Youth Services Department Commissioner K Sarada Devi and others were guests.
Addressing the gathering, MLC Ashok Babu said that youths are the main pillars and assets of the country. “The next 30 years belong to the youth. Vast opportunities await them and they have a bright future,” he said.
Ashok Babu mentioned Swami Vivekananda’s speech in Chicago, and added that those words are an inspiration to youngsters.
He added that the State government led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has provided many opportunities to the youth and they have the skill to create wonders. He asked youngsters to use these opportunities and grow in their careers, and make their dreams come true.
K Sarada Devi said that Swami Vivekananda, who was born in Calcutta, was the first Indian who showed India’s strength to the world by participating in the interfaith prayers in Chicago. As a student of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, he constituted several Ramakrishna Maths across the country, she added.
Youth Services Department Deputy Director SVDS Ramakrishna, Krishna and NTR districts Chief Executive Officer U Srinivasa Rao, Eluru CEO Prabhakara Rao and others were present.
