Released in 2013, actor Nikhil’s Swamy Ra Ra was a clean sweep at the box office during that time. Made on a low budget, this film was one of the biggest hits of those times. On Sunday, the film celebrated 11 years since its release in theatres.
Announcing the same on X (formerly Twitter), Nikhil shared a post recalling all the good memories from the sets of Swamy Ra Ra. He posted a fun making video from the sets, which showed all the actors in the video having fun while shooting for the film.
In the post, the actor asked his co-star Swati and director Sudheer Varma if they should make a sequel to it. He wrote, “11 Years of #SwamyRaRa Do you think we should make a sequel ??? What do you say Swati @sudheerkvarma??,” wrote the actor on his X.
With the post, netizens began to express their wish to support the sequel. Many began to comment that they were eagerly waiting for the sequel. And with this cryptic post, fans are assuming that a sequel is underway because his films Karthikeya and Karthikeya 2 both performed well at the box office, including the North Indian market. The film marked the debut of director Sudheer Varma, who is now one of the most successful directors in Telugu cinema.
After it’s huge Telugu success, the film was later remade in Tamil and Kannada.
