Niranjan appeals toCEO to alert police

TPCC senior vice-president G Niranjan appealed to the Chief Electoral Officer Vikasraj to alert the police and disaster management personnel to swing into action for the safe passage of election staff and election material.
On Sunday, Niranjan addressed a letter in this regard to the CEO. In his letter, Niranjan said that the heavy rain and storm is affecting the transportation of polling personnel and material in many parts of the State.
He appealed to the CEO to alert the police and disaster management personnel to swing into action for the safe passage of personnel and election material. “Please direct the concerned at polling station areas to see that rain water does not enter the polling stations.”
He said, “We have taken precautionary measures keeping in view of the summer but this sudden change in the climate warrants us to take steps on war-footing to avoid any inconvenience to the polling personnel, voters and for the safety of EVMs.”
