Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that the Cabinet will not be expanded now and that the high command will make the final decision. “I am not proposing anybody’s name,” the CM added.
During a chit-chat with journalists on Friday in New Delhi, the CM said, “There are no differences between me and Rahul Gandhi. We have a close association. What do I care if people who don’t know about our relationship talk about it? I didn’t seek Rahul Gandhi’s appointment. Decisions about Congress governments and the party are made by the high command,” the CM said.
“I will be in tune with the party and its leaders. There would be no personal decisions. I do the work given to me by the party. There is no need to respond to criticism. The percentage of BCs increased 5.5 per cent in the caste census. BJP MLA Payal Shankar accepted the fact that the percentage of BCs has increased after seeing caste census details, the CM said.
He said that the government is moving as per the law regarding cases against opposition leaders. “We are not in a hurry to arrest and put them in jail. We are working to solve problems permanently,” he added. “We held a caste census considering all factors. The caste census seems to have provided a permanent solution to Muslim reservations. The composition of the TPCC executive committee has been finalised. There would be a statement on that in one or two days,” the CM said.
