Ritik Ghansani is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about stars in the entertainment industry, captivating audiences with his powerful performances and undeniable screen presence. His journey to stardom is a testament to his passion, determination, and the resilience it takes to thrive in such a competitive field. From humble beginnings to landing breakthrough roles, Ritik’s story is one of both struggle and triumph, as he continues to carve a niche for himself in the world of acting.

Ritik shares that his passion for acting began at a very young age. Recalling his childhood in this exclusive chat with The Pioneer, he says, “When I was a kid, I used to watch Mohabbatein every time it came on television, I would just sit there, glued to the screen. My friends would call me to come and play, but I’d refuse and just focus on the movie.” This early connection to cinema sparked his desire to be a hero. “I always wanted to be a hero,” he admits. Unlike others who would say they wanted to be actors, his dream was to embody the larger-than-life image of a hero. He went on to pursue his passion seriously after high school, enrolling in a theater course at Christ University, Bangalore. This decision marked a turning point, solidifying his commitment to acting as a profession rather than just a hobby.

Ritik’s path to success wasn’t without its challenges. He reflects on his initial days in the industry, where roles came by chance rather than choice. “When I did Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2 and Sky Force, I didn’t have much of a choice,” he explains. “I was just starting out, and I took whatever came my way. It was a blessing at the time.” Coming from a small city in Madhya Pradesh, Ritik acknowledges that securing a film role felt like an extraordinary accomplishment. “It was a huge deal,” he adds. “Coming from such a humble background, getting the opportunity to act in films was beyond anything I could have imagined.”

However, by the time Sky Force came along, Ritik had a clearer sense of the roles he wanted to pursue. “By the time Sky Force happened, I was more focused on the kind of characters I wanted to play. When I was offered the role, I met with the directors, and they explained the character to me. The character had a beautiful arc, starting off as an innocent, chirpy pilot and ending up dying for his fellow soldiers. I didn’t think it would be received so well, but the audience loved it.” The positive reception of his character proved that he had made the right choice, and Ritik is proud of how the role resonated with viewers.

When asked about his experience with Bada Naam Karenge, a project that marked Rajshri Productions’ debut in the web space, Ritik explains that it was an easy choice for him. “I always wanted to be a hero, and this was the kind of hero I aspired to be—someone who is loved by everyone,” he says with a smile. His enthusiasm for the project shines through, and he reflects on how proud his family was when they found out about his involvement. “My parents have always adored Rajshri films. So when they learned that I was working with them, it was a proud moment for them, especially when my father said, ‘I’m proud of you.’ That meant the world to me,” Ritik shares, his voice tinged with emotion.

In his portrayal of Rishabh in Bada Naam Karenge, Ritik found a character that resonates with many. “Rishabh is every Indian boy,” he says. “He knows how to fight for his family and also fight against them when they’re wrong. He’s a guy who can be vulnerable when it comes to his partner, and he doesn’t shy away from that.” According to Ritik, Rishabh is not your typical hero who knows it all and does everything right. Instead, he’s a relatable character who reflects the struggles of modern-day youth trying to navigate their relationships and responsibilities.

Shooting for Bada Naam Karenge wasn’t without its challenges. Ritik recounts a particularly memorable moment from the show: a daunting 18-minute monologue during a key pre-climax scene. “It was a huge cast, with legends like Rajesh Palang, Rajesh Jais, and Kanwaljit Singh,” he recalls. “The director told me the night before that he wanted the scene to be done in one take, no cuts. I was confident at first, but when the day came, I realized just how difficult it would be.” With cameras set up and the pressure mounting, Ritik nailed the monologue in one take, much to his relief. “It was one of the most intense experiences I’ve had. I never thought I would get through it in one take, but thankfully, it worked out,” he says with pride.

Ritik believes that the title Bada Naam Karenge itself is deeply relatable to the audience. “It’s about the struggles we face every day, the aspirations we have, and the desire to make our families proud,” he explains. “India has a young population, and we are all trying to carve out our own paths. The title is about the journey we’re all on.” He further adds that the show’s slice-of-life approach helps viewers connect with the characters and their everyday struggles, making the content relatable to this generation.

Ritik Ghansani’s rise to fame has brought him considerable attention as a heartthrob, with many dubbing him the “new chocolate boy” and the next Valentine’s crush. Ritik embraces this label with ease, saying, “I always wanted to be a hero, someone who could romance and be loved by the audience. I’m enjoying this phase, and while I don’t mind being stereotyped as the chocolate boy, when the time comes, I’ll show my versatility.”

Reflecting on his early aspirations, he adds, “When Vivah was released, I always wanted to be a hero. Shahid Kapoor’s character was a green flag, even before it was a thing. A hero who was a green flag. I’ve always wanted to be loved by all the dadis and nanis.”

Looking ahead, Ritik is excited about his future in the industry. He shares that he has two favorite directors, Anurag Kashyap and Indira Valley, whose work greatly inspires him. “I would love to work in more diverse genres,” he says. “But for now, I’m happy with the romance genre, and I’m enjoying playing these roles.”

When asked about his upcoming projects, Ritik remains tight-lipped but assures that something exciting is in the works. “I don’t want to reveal too much yet,” he teases. “But it’s something really exciting, and as soon as things develop, I’ll share more details.”

In conclusion, Ritik Ghansani’s journey from a small town in Madhya Pradesh to being a rising star in the entertainment industry is a testament to his passion, hard work, and dedication. With his relatable characters, emotional depth, and charming personality, Ritik is well on his way to becoming a household name. Fans can certainly look forward to seeing more of him on the big and small screens in the future.
