I did not give a clean chit to BRS Working President KT Rama Rao in connection with the Formula E-Car Racing case, the Congress’s Khairatabad MLA, Danam Nagender said on Sunday.
Condemning the social media campaign against him saying Danam Nagender spoke against the government, he clarified that conducting the Formula E-Car Racing event was good for attracting investments and for the development of Telangana.
“I had only said that Hyderabad’s brand image got a boost after the Formula E-Car Racing event. I told KTR this then itself and he took my advice regarding the Formula E-Car Race event. However, some people have
distorted my comments and are campaigning that I spoke against the government,” he said.
Danam said that a probe by the ACB and the ED is going on about the Formula E-Car Racing event.
He said that he has doubts that a quid pro quo deal took place involving transfer of funds in connection with the Formula E-Car Racing event during elections.
Danam said that facts will come out after the probe. “I did not give a clean chit to KTR. I am a fighter and I do not fear even a by-poll. There is no change in my comments on HYDRAA. I am appealing to the government to rethink about HYDRAA,” he said.
He said that BJP leaders did a one day ‘Musi Nidra’ in houses located on the Musi River bank. However, ACs were installed in the houses where the BJP leaders slept before they went there, he added.
Danam said that Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy had food brought from outside instead of having food from the houses of HYDRAA victims. The BJP leaders ‘Musi Nidra’ was a namesake drama, he added.
