Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that Telangana had no policy during the last 10 years. The CM ridiculed the BRS government saying that ‘no policy was the BRS government’s policy.’ He said the Congress government’s policy is to increase public confidence in government systems.
“No one should worry about housing as the Congress government will make deserving people partners in Future City. The Fourth Estate will be part of the Fourth City, that is, Future City. Let us all participate in the construction of the Fourth City or Future City. Quli Qutb Shah created Hyderabad city, the Nizam and the British created Secunderabad, N. Chandrababu Naidu and YS Rajashekar Reddy created Cyberabad and we will create the Fourth City now,” the CM said.
Addressing the Jawaharlal Nehru Journalists Housing Society’s (JNJHS) meeting at which the Chief Minister handed over the Pet Basheerabad land’s Memo to JNJHS at the Ravindra Bharati on Sunday, the CM said that earlier political parties used to establish newspapers to spread their ideologies, but nowadays the media is dealing with frenzy.
The CM said that all journalists are getting a bad name because of what some people do.
“Some journalists are changing the meaning of the word ‘journalist’. It is your responsibility to control such people. It is our government’s responsibility to ensure that bonafide journalists are not harmed. Some newspapers cross the line regarding the language they use.

The post of Chief Minister is also being humiliated. They prefer to protect only the owners of political parties. Don’t attribute actions taken against such people. It is your responsibility to protect real journalists,” the CM said.
The CM said that journalists are ‘doctors’ who treat society. YSR decided to allot house sites to ensure their welfare.
“We have no hang-ups in taking decisions regarding housing for journalists.

Our government is providing a permanent solution to your problem. No one can raise a profession’s respect. We have to raise it ourselves. The ‘people’s government’ is moving forward as per the suggestions of the public and journalists. Our government’s policy is to increase confidence in systems. Journalism is also a part of the system. Earlier, political parties used to launch newspapers to spread their ideologies. Political leaders have to respect journalists and journalists have to respect politicians,” the CM said.
The CM said the Media Academy has been directed to prepare new procedures to find a permanent solution for Health Cards, Accreditation Cards and other issues.

“We will take the responsibility of giving Cabinet approval for them. Telangana has no tourism, energy and sports policies. Telangana had no real policies in the last 10 years. We are one of you. We are responsible for solving your problems. Rs 10 crore is being given to the media academy from the special development fund. No one should worry about housing. Eligible candidates will be made partners in Future City. Let us all participate in the construction of the Fourth City and the Future City,” he said.
