Superintendent of police G Bindu Madhav has made it clear that there is no Uranium mining in the district and asked people not to trust misleading news.
In a statement here on Wednesday, the SP said Uranium mining was not being carried out at Kappatralla reserve forest. He asked the people of the Kappatralla area not to worry about the Uranium mining as no such activity was taking place there.
The SP said that some people were spreading false news that Uranium mining was being carried out at the forest area at Kappatralla division.
The SP said that the Collector of the district has also made it clear that no Uranium extraction was being carried out in the district. The SP warned of taking stringent action against those who were spreading false and misleading information among people regarding Uranium mining in the district.
