AP State Planning Board Vice-Chairman and Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu has refuted reports that he is leaving YSRCP as he was denied a ticket to contest the elections. He said that the rumours spread in the media channels and social media groups were baseless and he adhered to continue in YSRC. The news and rumours about Malladi Vishnu leaving the YSRC party turned viral on Friday, prompting the MLA to clarify the issue. He said, “The campaign that I am joining BJP is not true. I will continue in the YSRC under the leadership of CM Jagan. My party is YSRC and my leader is Jagan. I will work for the party’s victory. YSRC is going to win the next election with a huge majority and Jagan Mohan Reddy will once again take oath as the Chief Minister and win 175 seats.”
Not quitting YSRCP: Malladi
On Friday, MLA Vishnu laid the foundation stone for the underground drainage line works at a cost of Rs.32.59 crore in Gunadala along with Vijayawada city mayor Rayana Bhagyalakshmi, YSRCP corporators Uddhanti Sunitha and MD Shahina Sultana. Malladi Vishnu said that he is happy to conduct the ‘Bhumi Puja’ for the underground line works with the funds of Amrit 2.0 and the 15th Finance Commission, which is enough for a population of about 30,000 people. Also, for the drinking water needs of the people of Ajit Singh Nagar, Payakapuram and Gunadala, Malladi Vishnu said that a water treatment plant will also be constructed in Vambay Colony at a cost of Rs 84.73 crore. On the other hand, the MLA said that this government is working with the determination to complete the Gunadala RoB. It has been informed that the construction of bridges will be completed so that any vehicle coming from the Eluru Road side can meet directly on the Inner Ring Road. City Mayor Rayana Bhagyalakshmi was also present.
