TRS Supremo Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao received an official letter from the Election Commission of India approving the move to change the name of Telangana Rashtra Samiti to Bharat Rashtra Samiti. BRS President KCR decided to organise a formation programme of the Bharat Rashtra Samiti at the auspicious time of 1.20 pm on December 9 and commence party programmes.
KCR will sign the official reply to the EC letter at 1.20 pm and send it to the Election Commission. Later, KCR will hoist the BRS flag. There will also be an inaugural ceremony. The Chief Minister has asked state Executive Committee Members, district Presidents, Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and MLCs to attend the programme at the Telangana Bhavan. KCR said that Zilla Parishad Chairmen, Corporation Chairmen, DCCB Presidents, and DCMS Presidents should reach the Telangana Bhavan before noon.
