NRI donates Rs 2 lakh to Nunna ZP High School

Bhimavarapu Siva Reddy, an NRI and an alumnus of Zilla Parishad High School in Nunna, has donated Rs. 2 lakh for the construction of a shed on the school premises. He handed over a cheque to the school’s Headmaster Vazral Bhupal Reddy in Nunna near Vijayawada on Tuesday.
Siva Reddy, a member of the 1988-89 SSC batch, is now settled in the US. Recently, he and his family visited his hometown of Nunna to spend the summer holidays. His wife, Bh Sudha Rani, is also an alumnus of Nunna ZP High School, having completed her SSC in 1990-91.
Invited by the Nunna ZPHS Old Students’ Association representative Naredla Satyanarayana Reddy, Siva Reddy visited the high school. He was impressed by the development activities initiated by the former students and donors. This led him to express his willingness to contribute to the school’s development, and he announced a Rs. 2 lakh donation for the construction of a shed.
After handing over the cheque, Siva Reddy visited the school playground and expressed his happiness. He also toured the toilets constructed by the Rotary Club, as well as the additional classrooms, an auditorium, a science laboratory, and a cycle shed built by former students. He appreciated the efforts of the Physical Directors T Vijaya Varma and T Sri Latha, for producing 11 national-level and numerous State-level athletes. He noted that 11 students from the school participated in the national competitions organised by the School Games Federation of India for the first time in the school’s history, lauding the achievement.
Siva Reddy expressed his commitment to raising more funds for the school’s development in the days to come. He stated that he would reach out to old students of the school residing in the USA.
Representatives from the Nunna ZPH School Old Students’ Association, including Naredla Satyanarayana Reddy, and School Staff Secretary Nageswara Rao were also present.
