Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath alias Chinni and NTR District Collector Dr G Lakshmisha have stated that the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) will be useful to employ another 10 unemployed people in addition to self-employment. In this regard, the NTR district administration will organise extensive awareness programmes in all Assembly constituencies in the district in January, they said.
On Tuesday, Kesineni Chinni and Lakshmisha convened a special meeting with Industries, Skill Development, District Rural Development Agency, and other related departments on the PMEGP at the collectorate in Vijayawada. They discussed several opportunities for the proposed PMEGV.
Speaking on the occasion, MP Chinni said that people’s representatives and officials should work together for the Vikasit Bharat, Vikasit Andhra Pradesh and the Vikasit NTR district. Comprehensive development will be possible only when the youth are given self-employment opportunities as per their interest. Officials should create awareness of the credit-linked subsidy scheme PMEGP in the district in urban and rural areas, he added.
Further, he mentioned the concept of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu — One Family – One Entrepreneur.
