Adding to an array of heart attack related incidents pertaining to young men and women in India, on Jan. 27, actor Nandamuri Taraka Ratna collapsed from a severe heart attack. This unfortunate incident took place while the actor was busy canvassing for his cousin and Telugu Desam Party’s national general secretary Nara Lokesh.
The 4,000 km Yuva Galam Padayatra came to a halt and Taraka Ratna was shifted to Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital in Bengaluru where he’s kept under the supervision of doctors. Recently, his brother Chaitanya Krishna informed the media that Taraka Ratna’s health is in critical condition and the doctors advised the family to stay patient until Monday.
Taraka Ratna’s cousins Jr. NTR and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram visited the hospital on Sunday along with Ratna’s father Mohanakrishna to check on him. The distressed family members(Jr. NTR, Kalyan Ram and Mohanakrishna) were spotted with Karnataka’s Health Minister K. Sudhakar.
Speaking to the media, the RRR star said, “Doctors at NH hospitals are providing the best treatment. He has the blessings of my grandfather(Sr. NTR), family members, well wishers and fans. I wish him a speedy recovery and I pray to god that he should return to normalcy.”
Jr. NTR’s wife Lakshmi Pranati and Balakrishna’s daughter Nara Brahmani(wife to Nara Lokesh) were also seen at the hospital. Sources close to the ailing actor say that he is doing fine compared to the report issued last night.
