Kapu Nadu leader and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham has appealed to Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to do justice to the Kapu community people by providing reservations by listing them in Backward Classes.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, which is released to the media here on Friday, Mudragada asked the Chief Minister to stick to his promises made on the floor of the Assembly, reported prominently in the Sakshi TV, owned by the family of the Chief Minister, on February 1, 2016, expressing support to the demand of Kapus for BC category reservation describing it as right and justified.

Pointing out that almost all the political parties after Independence had supported the demand of Kapus for BC reservation during elections, but had forgotten after coming to power, Mudragada alleged. He urged the Chief Minister not to use the same old policy of “use and throw” but take the decision of providing BC reservations to Balija, Telaga, Ontari , and Kapus, thereby doing justice to them. He asked the Chief Minister to act in right earnest bringing a happy ending to the several years of struggle of the Kapu community people instead of dragging the issue further.
