Officials told to ensure to provide uninterrupted power supply

Minister for Energy Gottipati Ravi Kumar directed the officials to take steps on war footing to supply uninterrupted power to the consumers across the state.
The Minister on Wednesday held a teleconference with the officials and engineers from the Secretariat. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar has directed the officials of the power department to carry out restoration works on a war footing without any interruption in the power supply across the state.
The Minister reviewed the measures taken by the authorities to restore the uprooted electricity poles, severed wires and damaged feeders in various areas due to the rains and storms across the State.
The Energy Minister directed the authorities to carry out required repairs to the electricity poles and damaged feeders on a war footing and take steps to avoid causing any inconvenience to the people.
Similarly, the Minister ordered the officials of the power department to remain alert for the next 48 hours and take appropriate precautions to avoid any disruption in power supply.
The Electricity officials, CMDs and engineers were among those who attended the meeting.
