District Election Officer S Venkat Rao has advised the Revenue and Police officials to acquire knowledge of the election rules. Reviewing the election guidelines with Revenue, Police officials and Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad at the conference hall in the Collectorate here on Wednesday, he asked them to take measures to identify problematic polling stations.
As part of the rationalisation of the polling booths in the district, he asked the officials to prepare proposals to rename the polling booths and to identify new polling booths.
On the relocation of polling booths, Revenue Divisional Officers and Tahsildars in Assembly constituencies should send proposals immediately.
