Officials told to speed up verification of voters’ list

District Collector Hanumant K Zendage has directed district authorities to ensure that all those who have crossed 18 years enrol as voters.
He inspected the special summary revision of the voters’ list at the office of the Tahsildar of Turkapally on Thursday. He sought the status of the applications received under Form-6 and Form-7.
All those who turned 18 years as on January 1, 2024 should get the right to vote. Since the deadline for making omissions and commissions in the list of voters is fixed as January 22, he wanted the officials to undertake field visit and those who live in the declared residential address be included in the list of the voters. In case of change of residential address, application should be filed under Form-8.
Similarly, the officials should peruse the applications received for inclusion as a voter in the Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda Graduates’ Constituency carefully.
Tahsildar Desya Naik and his office personnel were present during the inspection.
Earlier, the Collector visited the Mandal Development Officer and gathered information from the personnel there on the implementation of the Employment Assurance scheme.

He asked the authorities there not to keep the employment guarantee works under pending and document the details in records and pay wages to the NREGS workers on time. He called for proper maintenance of the NREGS records and registers.  Mandal Panchayat Officer B Venkateswarlu and others were present.
