Officials told to undertake driver to check seasonal diseaes

District Collector Hanumanth Zendage has directed officials to take up special a drive in municipalities to check spread of seasonal diseases. He has also asked the officials to meet the target set for planting saplings during the Vanamahotsava programmes.
On Tuesday, he held a meeting with district officials and municipal commissioners. He directed them to ensure that water storage is avoided. The officials were told to identify low-lying areas and take steps to prevent waterlogging. The Collector instructed the officials to carry out fogging and anti-larval spraying.
On  Vanmahotsavam programme, Hanumanth Zendage stressed the need to meet target of planting saplings. He made it clear that the it was the responsibility officials to ensure smooth conduct of Vanamahotsavam.
