Only 1/4 of Rythu Bandhu money went to small farmers

With each passing day of crediting Rythu Bandhu amount, the number of outstanding beneficiaries is decreasing, but the amounts due to them is increasing.

About one-fourth of the Rythu Bandhu money went to small farmers. About Rs1,921.18crore was deposited into the accounts of 39,54,138 farmers on the first two days, covering 38.42 lakh acres.

On Day1, 22,55,081 lakh farmers got Rs642.52crore. These are farmers holding less than 2acres. On Day2, 16,98,957 farmers got Rs 1,278.60crore.

On Day3, Wednesday, Rs1,325.24 crore was deposited into the accounts of 10.89 lakh farmers. So far, Rs.3, 246.42 crore has been deposited into the accounts of 50.43 lakh farmers.

This is the 11th instalment of Rythu Bandhu. The state government has given Rythu Bandhu for 10 seasons in the state, incurring total expenditure of Rs 65,559 crore up to Rabi 2022.

Currently, 70.46 lakh farmers in the state are getting the input subsidy of Rs 5,000 per acre under Rythu Bandhu. The extent of land to which subsidy is being provided is 1.53 crore acres.

With this latest season, the Rythu Bandhu scheme will have contributed a total of Rs 72,910 crore to farmers’ accounts.
