Parties give importance to defectors in LS polls

Defectors are getting importance in the major political parties in getting tickets for the coming Lok Sabha elections in Telangana. In the Congress, BJP and BRS, defectors got Lok Sabha tickets. The national parties, the grand old party Congress is not lagging behind and the BJP, which says winning 400 seats depends on the leaders of a regional party in giving Lok Sabha tickets. The BJP, which is facing strong candidates has given tickets to BRS sitting MPs who joined the party recently. The BRS candidates have become BJP and Congress candidates now.
While prominent leaders are leaving the party, the BRS is also depending on defectors in giving Lok Sabha tickets. BRS MPs Venkatesh, P Dayakar and Ranjit Reddy have joined the Congress and BB Patil and P Ramulu joined the  BJP. The BJP announced BB Patil as its Zaheerabad candidate a day after Patil joined the BJP from the BRS. Another BRS MP P Ramulu’s son P Bharath has been given Nagar-Kurnool ticket.
The Congress has given Chevella Lok Sabha ticket to Ranjith Reddy, the BRS MP who joined the party recently. The Congress almost decided to give Warangal Lok Sabha ticket to BRS MP Dayakar who joined the party recently. BRS MLA Danam Nagendar’s name was almost confirmed for Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat from the Congress. Patnam Sunitha Reddy and Gaddam Vamsi Krishna who joined the Congress from the BRS have got Malkajgiri and Peddapalli Lok Sabha tickets respectively. Medak Lok Sabha Congress candidate Neelam Madhu also recently joined the Congress.
Meanwhile, Chevella BJP candidate Konda Vishweshwar Reddy and Bhongir BJP candidate Bura Narasaiah Goud also recently joined the party. Adilabad BJP candidate G Nagesh also recently joined the BJP from the BRS.
The BRS has given Chevella Lok Sabha ticket to Kasani Jnaneshwar who joined the party from the TDP. Malkajgiri BRS candidate Ragidi Laxma Reddy also recently joined the party.  The three major political parties have not yet announced their full list of candidates in Telangana. Some more defectors may get Lok Sabha tickets in these political parties.

BRS: 1. Kasani Jnaneshwar – Chevella; 2. Ragidi Lakshma Reddy- Malkajgiri.
