MLC Dr Patnam Mahender Reddy took oath as a Cabinet Minister at the Raj Bhavan on Thursday.
Along with the Governor, Dr Tamilisai Sounderrajan, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao also attended the swearing-in. The Chief Minister later attended a high tea hosted by the Governor. KCR also participated in a group photo session with his Cabinet colleagues.
The CM congratulated Mahender Reddy, Cabinet ministers, MPs, MLCs, MLAs, Chairmen, public representatives and other prominent people from various fields who attended the function.
Dr Patnam was given the portfolio of Mines and Information which were held by the CM. Meanwhile, BRS candidates met BRS President Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at the Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday and thanked him for giving them an opportunity to contest in the Assembly elections. The CM congratulated the BRS candidates.
Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy, Ministers Vemula Prashant Reddy, Srinivas Goud, Government Whip Balka Suman, MLAs Jeevan Reddy, Anjaiah, Jaipal Yadav, Bhupal Reddy and Manik Rao were among those who met the CM.
