Pawan Kalyan slams YSRCP

Must read

During a discussion on a resolution thanking the Governor for his address, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said that the behaviour of the YSRCP leaders in the Assembly reminded him of the murder of former MP YS Vivekananda Reddy. He questioned how YSRCP leaders could behave in such a manner during the Governor’s speech, while also reflecting on past violent incidents associated with the party.
Pawan Kalyan condemned the YSRCP’s actions, describing them as a pattern of chaos and insults.
He praised Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his ability to endure such behaviour over the years and remarked on the courage it takes to confront such leaders.
Recalling specific incidents, he highlighted the YSRCP’s destructive policies the way the Praja Vedika was demolished, the demolition of over 200 temples, the way D Sudhakar died, the Jangareddygudem adulterated deaths, criticising High Court judges on social media, attacks on press leaders, the destruction of mangrove forests, how Chandrababu was kept in jail for 53 days, Amaravati farmers being beaten up to the point of bleeding, and the Tirupati adulterated laddu incidents.
Pawan emphasised that despite challenges, his government remains committed to serving the people of Andhra Pradesh and has made significant strides in infrastructure development. He pointed out that while the previous government laid only 1,800 kilometres of CC roads in five years, his administration has already constructed over 4,000 km of roads in just six months.
He also criticised the previous government for mismanaging funds related to the Jal Jeevan Mission and highlighted instances of corruption, such as the encroachment of 77 acres of forest land by the former Minister of Forests.
Despite the challenges faced by the coalition government, Pawan Kalyan reassured the Assembly that they are united for the welfare of the people. He urged that any party disrespecting the Governor should not have a place in the Assembly, affirming the commitment of the NDA coalition to remain strong and responsible for the next 15 years.
A lively discussion took place in the Assembly when the Speaker suggested reviving the Green Corpus program implemented during the united Andhra Pradesh, proposing to plant saplings with the participation of five lakh students on one single day. In response, Pawan Kalyan acknowledged the importance of such initiatives but pointed out that everything requires funding. He criticised the YSRCP for allegedly draining the State treasury, which has led to a shortage of funds. To illustrate his point, he humorously recounted a scene from his film Jalsa, bringing laughter to the Assembly. Pawan Kalyan assured that the government will take appropriate action as per the Speaker’s suggestions.
