In a concerted effort to expedite the seat-sharing process, Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan engaged in a three-hour discussion with Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the latter’s riverfront resident in Undavalli on Sunday.
The leaders deliberated on seat allocations for the upcoming elections during their extensive meeting, arriving at conclusions for candidates in a majority of constituencies.
Sources indicate that Naidu and Pawan Kalyan have resolved to personally communicate with aspirants who may not receive tickets due to the seat-sharing arrangements in specific constituencies.
Preceding this meeting, both leaders had conducted separate discussions with senior party leaders in Hyderabad over four days, focusing on seat-sharing strategies and outlining plans for a collaborative election campaign in the forthcoming elections.
Pawan Kalyan had previously declared the Jana Sena Party’s intent to contest from the Razole and Rajanagaram constituencies. According to JSP sources, an official release of the candidate list is anticipated within the next couple of days.
Notably, Andhra Pradesh comprises 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats. In the 2019 elections, the TDP and JSP contested independently, with the TDP securing 23 MLA seats and 3 MP seats, while JSP won a single MLA seat.
