Pawan vows to protect ‘Sanatana Dharma’

Must read

Jana Sena Party Chief and Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan has vowed to protect ‘Sanatana Dharma,’ asserting that it respects all religions.
Addressing the ‘Varahi’ public meeting here on Thursday, he questioned how one could remain silent when mischief occurs in the sacred Tirumala temple. “I never expected to find myself defending ‘Sanatana Dharma’ in my life. When injustice was done to me, I chose to remain silent. However, I am raising my voice against the wrongs that have taken place in Tirumala. If we protect Dharma, it will protect us,” he stated.
Expressing regret over the humiliation faced by ‘Sanatana Dharma’ in the country, Pawan Kalyan made it clear that he was prepared to confront those who aim to undermine it.
“I am not speaking here as the Deputy Chief Minister or as the Jana Sena Party chief. I stand before you as a Hindu and as an Indian citizen. Sanatana Dharma embodies the virtue of unity in diversity,” he acknowledged. Pawan Kalyan highlighted that he undertook ‘Prayachit Deeksha’ to express repentance for the use of adulterated ghee in Tirumala Laddu Prasadam during the previous regime.
“Some leaders have spoken disgracefully about my visit to the Venkateswara temple in Tirumala. My daughter signed a declaration in Tirumala before we went to the temple,” he remarked. The Jana Sena chief vowed to go to any lengths to protect Sanatana Dharma.
Launching a scathing attack against pseudo-secularists, he lamented the silence surrounding the humiliation of Hindu gods. “Those who speak against Hindu gods are on the rise in this country. When the rulers of Bangladesh declared their country an Islamist state, no one objected. Yet, there are those who wish to eradicate Sanatana Dharma in India,” Pawan Kalyan asserted. “We are in a situation where we are afraid to speak in favour of Hinduism. The time has come for Hindus in the country to unite,” he warned, threatening dire consequences for those who seek to harm Sanatana Dharma.

Expressing anger over the adulteration of Laddu Prasadam, Pawan Kalyan questioned the whereabouts of former TTD EO Dharma Reddy. “We are raising doubts about the decisions made by the TTD board during the YSRCP regime. What actions has the YSRCP government taken against those who have attacked Hindu temples?” he asked.

Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan released the Varahi Declaration, which states that secularism must be upheld in a manner that ensures a uniform response to any threat or harm caused to any religion or faith. A strong national Act is required to protect Sanatana Dharma and prevent actions that harm its beliefs. This Act should be enacted immediately and uniformly enforced across the nation. A “Sanatana Dharma Protection Board” should be established at both the national and state levels to oversee the implementation of this Act. Annual funds must be allocated to support this board and its activities. There should be non-cooperation with individuals or organisations that defame or spread hatred against Sanatana Dharma. Furthermore, Sanatana Dharma Certification must be implemented to ensure the purity of materials used in offerings and prasadam at temples. Temples should evolve not only as spiritual centres but also as hubs for promoting art and culture, education, economy, environmental conservation, and welfare through comprehensive planning.
