Vijayawada Mayor Rayana Bhagya Lakshmi has stated that Vijayawada city is being developed with the cooperation of both the public and the staff of the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation. She emphasised that these two groups are like the “two eyes” of the civic body, highlighting their essential roles in the city’s development and progress.
On the occasion of the 78th Independence Day celebrations, Mayor Bhagya Lakshmi hoisted the national flag at the VMC office on Thursday. She, along with Commissioner HM Dhyanachandra, paid great tributes to freedom fighters. Later, the Mayor Bhagya Lakshmi and the Commissioner received the guard of honour from the march past contingents.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Bhagya Lakshmi said that Swachh Survekshan Ranks witnessed the people and VMC staff’s participation and cooperation.
