Telugu Desam Party (TDP) senior leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has expressed concerns about the prevailing discontent among the people of Andhra Pradesh, predicting a potential uprising similar to the recent coup in Russia. Ramakrishnudu alleged that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s administration has failed to deliver on development and has instead caused destruction in the state. He further claimed that 83 welfare schemes, benefiting backward classes (BC), scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), and minorities, have been canceled by the Jagan-led government over the past four years. Specifically, 27 BC schemes, 29 SC schemes, 17 ST schemes, and 10 minority schemes have been terminated.
Highlighting the plight of BC, SC, ST, and Muslim minority communities, Ramakrishnudu argued that they have all suffered under Jagan’s governance. He asserted that a “silent revolution” is brewing among these communities, with deep dissatisfaction towards the Chief Minister. He mentioned that they are not deterred by legal cases and are patiently waiting for an opportunity to express their anger, possibly through upcoming elections. Ramakrishnudu attributed this silent revolution to Jagan’s alleged anti-people actions, which include attacks, atrocities, demolitions, suppressions, and unjust arrests.
Ramakrishnudu went on to claim that a coup-like situation, similar to the recent events in Russia, is inevitable in Andhra Pradesh. He pointed to growing dissent among various groups created by Jagan, and he cited the recent incident of a YSR Congress MP’s family being kidnapped in Visakhapatnam as evidence of the rising unrest.
Accusing the Jagan-led government of widespread corruption, Ramakrishnudu asserted that public funds have been embezzled on a large scale within four years. He alleged that there is a competition between Jagan and YSR Congress MLAs to amass wealth at the expense of the people. Ramakrishnudu further claimed that corruption scandals have infiltrated every ministry, citing Jagan’s alleged mantra of “Rob, share, eat” (Dochuko, Panchuko, Tinuko) as the driving force behind these unethical practices.
