A petition was filed in the High Court challenging the allocation of 11 acres to the BRS in Kokapet by the then BRS government.
The BRS government had allotted 11 acres in Kokapet in the Gandipet mandal of Rangareddy district in survey numbers 239 and 240. Lawyer Venkatarami Reddy filed the petition alleging that there is no transparency and no justification for allotting the land.
Venkatarami said in his petition that the BRS government did not follow the standard tender process and that the BRS government failed to reveal the process adopted in allocating the land to the BRS.
The lawyer said that the value of the land is around Rs 50 crore and that the government allocated the land for just Rs 3.41 crore to the BRS. The Forum for Good Governance (FGG) also filed a similar petition regarding this. Hearing on the petition is pending. However, the court issued notices to the government while responding to the FGG petition.
