Andhra Pradesh State Creativity and Cultural Commission, India International Photographic Council, New Delhi, and Andhra Arts Academy jointly conducted the 130th World Pictorial Photography Day celebrations at the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati at Mogalrajapuram in Vijayawada on Thursday.
Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rama Mohan inaugurated the photo exhibition by lighting a lamp. Andhra Pradesh Madya Vimochana Prachara Committee Chairman V Lakshmana Reddy, former deputy speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad, and Andhra Arts Academy secretary Golla Narayana Rao observed the photo exhibition.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Gadde Rama Mohan said that in the past inscriptions held mirror to history, whereas nowadays, photos preserve history. Photography Academy of India general secretary T Srinivas Reddy, Cultural Centre CEO Dr Emani Sivanagi Reddy, and others were present.
