PM Modi flags off second Vande Bharat Express to Visakhapatnam virtually

Excitement was on the faces of school and college students and a few influencers while they entered the new vibrant orange and grey stationary Vande Bharat Express which travels from Secunderabad  to Visakhapatnam, during the inaugural run on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged of the second Vande Bharat for two Telugu states along with multiple developmental projects that includes One station One Product Units , PM Gati Shakti Cargo Terminals , Goods Sheds, two Jan Aushadi Kendras, 14 – Double Line, Third Line, Gauge Conversion and Bypass Lines and  three Rail Coach Restaurants.
Around 120 students travelling in the inaugural train found the new Tangerine Grey / Orange coloured exterior  of the Vande Bharat Express more vibrant, spacious and  comfortable when  compared to  previous Vande Bharat express.
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy stated that in the span of the 10 years there have been major development changes in Indian Railways, especially in Telangana, including linking the railway budget with Central government budget.
He said , “Three  Vande Bharat trains were introduced that includes Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam,  Kacheguda to Yesvantpurand Tirupati to Secunderabad were flagged off in Telangana last year and now with the flagging off the second Vande Bharat in Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam stretch with the people to commute easily and reduce travel time.”
He also said that the Railway Manufacturing Unit works in Kazipet are going at a fast pace and even Secunderabad Redevelopment work are in fast progress, around 20 per cent of  works have been completed. Moreover, Cherlapally Railway terminal works will be completed soon.
As per SCR data, in December the occupancy rate of the train was 129 while the occupancy rate in January , 2024, is 124 and in March -133.
