Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said that the true success of government initiatives lies in reaching the farthest corners of tribal regions. He assured that the welfare schemes, particularly for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), would be diligently provided to eligible beneficiaries. One of the key announcements during the interaction was the construction of Eklavya model residential schools, aimed at providing quality education to tribal students. Financial assistance to farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana (PM Kisan) was also highlighted.
The PM listed a range of ongoing schemes, including free gas connections through the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat cards, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana housing construction, distribution of forest rights documents, Aadhaar card issuance, Jan Dhan accounts opening, and the establishment of One Dhan Vikasa Kendras. The Prime Minister assured that electricity facilities were being extended to every household. Job cards were issued under the employment guarantee scheme, providing 150 days of work to PVTG families.
The virtual meeting also featured an open dialogue with tribal women, allowing them to share their experiences with the welfare schemes. She also talked about agriculture initiatives, including coffee and pepper cultivation, and the positive impact of online marketing.
Following the beneficiaries’ testimonials, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the successful execution of the Jan Jati Adivasi Maha Abhiyan scheme, covering PVTG tribes across five States. Various essential documents, including Aadhaar cards, Ayushman Bharat cards, caste certificates, forest rights documents, Jan Dhan accounts, and birth certificates, were distributed to the beneficiaries.
Local officials and dignitaries, including the in-charge District Collector, Joint Collector K Karthik, Central Tribal Affairs Joint Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, and members of the Legislative Assembly, participated in the event.
