Telangana’s Finance Minister T. Harish Rao and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar raked up the Polavaram Project of Andhra Pradesh and the presence of AP political parties in Telangana respectively on Sunday.

Comparing Kaleshwaram Project to Polavaram Project, Harish said AP’s Polavaram project cannot be completed even in the next five years. He said that he had spoken to Polavaram Project engineers about the project’s progress and they had said that it would be a miracle if Polavaram works are completed in the next five years.

Lashing out at the opposition parties of Telangana, Harish said they are spreading lies regarding the Kaleshwaram Project. Harish said that Polavaram works were launched much before the Kaleshwaram Project. The people of Telangana are receiving the fruits of the Kaleshwaram Project. However, the Polavaram project, which was taken up by the Centre, is still incomplete and the people of AP are not getting its benefits.

Harish said the opposition parties in Telangana are trying to make people believe a lie by repeating it again and again. He asked TRS leaders to reject the lies of the opposition and to tell the public about the benefits of the Kaleshwaram Project.
Minister Gangula Kamalakar asked whether Telangana people needed AP political parties.

Targeting YSRTP president Sharmila and Prajashanthi Party president KA Paul, Kamalakar said that some people are coming to Telangana with padayatras. He said that there is no need for Samaikya rule again. Both the Ministers targeted YSRTP president YS Sharmila indirectly. However, Kamalakar targeted KA Paul too.

It may be recalled that Sharmila had asked the Centre to probe the corruption in the Kaleshwaram Project. Sharmila also filed a complaint with Central agencies against the Kaleshwaram Project and asked the Prime Minister to order a probe into the corruption in the Kaleshwaram Project.
