The Telangana Police conducted a special operation and caught those who were plotting to carry out blasts in Hyderabad. One Siraj from Vizianagaram and Sameer from Hyderabad, who were planning to carry out a blast, were arrested in the special operation.
Telangana Counter-Intelligence conducted the operation along with AP Intelligence. Police concluded that Siraj and Sameer were planning to carry out blasts in Hyderabad. It was revealed that they had purchased explosives in Vizianagaram and had planned a dummy blast in Hyderabad. An ISIS module from Saudi Arabia gave orders to Sameer and Siraj to carry out blasts.
After the Pahalgam terror attack, the Centre ordered all states to be alert in the context of the tensions with Pakistan. The Centre had warned that there is a risk of Pakistan controlled sleeper cells becoming active.
