POLL PREPAREDNESS CEC holds talks with parties

The Chief Election Commissioner of India (CEC), Rajiv Kumar, along with Election Commissioners Anup Chandra Pandey and Arun Goel, arrived in Vijayawada to assess the state of preparedness for the upcoming simultaneous General Elections to the Lok Sabha and the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 2024. The review process will conclude on Wednesday.
As part of the comprehensive review, the Election Commission of India (ECI) held a meeting on Tuesday with representatives from all National and State Recognised Political Parties, during which they received and considered various representations. Additionally, the ECI organised a review meeting with District Collectors, SPs, and CPs to engage in detailed discussions regarding the preparedness for the simultaneous General Elections to the LS and the AP Legislative Assembly in 2024.
