Poll preparedness discussed DRC teams must perform duties efficiently: DEO

Emphasising the importance of effective performance by the Distribution and Receptions Centres (DRC) teams during the parliamentary elections, District Election Officer Ronald Rose held training sessions at Komaram Bheem Adivasi Bhavan in Jubilee Hills, where they were briefed on their duties, responsibilities and election management protocols.
Rose highlighted the need for smooth operations at the distribution and reception centres, urging vigilance from the distribution centre teams. He stressed the importance of thorough preparation, including the timely arrangement of polling materials and checklists for presiding officers.
Rose instructed the staff on counter management and reminded them to strictly follow instructions from the authorities. He also instructed Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) regarding the logistics of safe transportation of EVMs and polling materials.
Speaking on the occasion, Hyderabad District Collector and Returning Officer Anudeep Durishetti emphasised sector-wise distribution of EVMs and poll materias in the distribution centre and counter-wise organisation at reception centres. He also highlighted the need for adequate infrastructure and provision of cold drinking water.
Secunderabad Parliamentary Constituency Returning Officer Hemant Keshav Patil detailed all the arrangements, precautions and responsibilities for distribution and reception centres.
The DEO stressed that polling teams should face no problems and only the presiding officer should receive polling material. He also suggested special arrangements for tasty food supply to polling staff, with respective AROs being instructed to plan food distribution division-wise.
Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly Constituency Returning Officer Madhukar Naik, District Election Training Classes Nodal Officer Sunanda, Zonal Commissioner Hemant Borkade and Hyderabad DRO Venkatachari, along with AROs, Sector Officers, Engineers and ALMTs participated in the programme.
