The POLYCET-2023 examination was conducted smoothly in 499 centres across Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. Out of the 1,60,329 candidates who had registered for the exam, 1,43,592 were present, said Commissioner of Technical Education Chadalavada Nagarani. The attendance is 89.56 percent.
The commissioner added that the exam was held from 11 am to 1 pm. As many as 55,562 girls (87.91 percent) and 97,128 boys (90.63 percent) sat for the exam.
Nagarani stated that the preliminary key for POLYCET-2023 would be uploaded on the website http://sbtetap.gov.in on May 13 (Saturday) and the results would be declared within 10 days.
She stated that 61 coordinating centres, 26 district observers (in the cadre of Principal), 56 coordinating centre observers (in the cadre of Head of Section) and 499 centre observers (in the cadre of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer) worked dedicatedly for the smooth conduct of POLYCET-2023 in 499 exam centres in 26 districts of the State. District observers/ coordinating centre observers/ centre observers acted as departmental squad and for every 24 candidates, one invigilator was appointed.
The Commissioner conveyed thanks to the District Collector, Magistrates and the Revenue Department for drafting squads to visit the centres under the jurisdiction of 61 coordinating centres and to the Medical Department for arranging medical teams (one nurse and an Asha worker) at each centre to attend first aid or any medical assistance. She further thanked the Police Department for providing security at the examination centres, Electricity Department for uninterrupted power supply and APSRTC for providing bus facility to all the examination centres.
