Prabhas has gone to Italy recently to film a romantic song for his magnum opus film Kalki 2898 AD, starring an ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, among others.
The movie, which is set in a distant futuristic dystopian society and against the backdrop of both ancient mythology and Kalki 2898 AD, presented Prabhas as ‘BHAIRAVA’ on Friday. “From the future streets of the holy place Kasi,” announced the makers, where we get to see Prabhas sport a ponytail and a sophisticated sense of taste when it comes to clothing. He’s wearing futuristic shades and has a tattoo on his hand.
Kalki 2898 AD sets off on a millennium-long voyage that spans from the far-off year of 2898 AD to the epic events of the Mahabharata in 3101 BCE.
The film, directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Awani Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies, is scheduled for May 9, 2024, worldwide release.
