Senior Citizens queue up at Prajavani for over 6-month delay in pension sanctions. This issue has become a regular complaint. In all, 611 people have submitted their grievances at the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhava on Tuesday.
When asked, Vasanthamma, a 70-year-old from Balanagar, said she has been waiting for her pension for six months. She said that she has been attending Prajavani for weeks, but officials keep telling her that the application is still in process. Despite applying multiple times through Meeseva, her application has not been considered. He urged the government to look into the issue, especially as the monsoon season brings additional problems.
