Many women cried out that their grievances are not being heard and solved properly, saying that the previous government did some good by coming out into the public, and at least a few got the 2BHK houses and many were satisfied back then. Women also questioned how many months it will take for the promised 6 schemes to be fulfilled, which are assured to be done in 100 days. In all, 465 people submitted their grievances at the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan on Tuesday
When asked, Syed Shenaz from Balanagar, who came to submit her grievance about the Indiramma housing scheme, said she has been without a house for 16 years and applied for the scheme. Whenever she asks officials for an update, she gets the same answer, “We will look into it.” Shenaz also expressed frustration, questioning how long they have to wait and why no scheme is properly implemented for women. She mentioned that even the promised Rs 500 gas cylinder scheme is not being provided correctly.
Shenaz pointed out that the pension is not being sanctioned properly, leading to loss of hope for the elderly in her household. Shenaz also noted the lack of a single Xerox machine for women inside the Praja Bhavan, forcing them to walk 3 km to get a copy of a ration card.
Meanwhile, Srilakshmi from Rangareddy submitted a grievance about the free electricity bill scheme. She said she has been managing her household with only 100 units.
In another case, Sartha Ahmed from Matur village in Khammam district came to submit his grievance about his father’s agricultural land. Ahmed said that when he searched for the land on the Dharani portal, the survey number was not found, although his and his father’s names were listed. Ahmed said even after submitting his father’s death certificate and other documents, there was no response.
