Just days ago, Inter Education Commissioner Saurabh Gaur conducted a thorough inspection of several educational institutions, including government and private colleges, to assess their preparedness and address any logistical hurdles. This proactive approach aims to guarantee a seamless examination process.
The district boasts 169 junior colleges, housing a student population of 76,844. This includes 40,413 first-year and 36,431 second-year students. While 10 government colleges cater to 5,034 students, 144 private colleges educate the remaining 69,944. Diverse college ownerships add further complexity to the academic landscape. Looking ahead, the introduction of a morals, human values, and environmental education test in February underscores the district’s commitment to fostering well-rounded individuals. This exam emphasizes the importance of ethical and sustainable practices beyond academic boundaries.
The schedule for practical exams in February and theory exams in March is approaching. Practicals will run from February 11 to 20, followed by theory exams starting March 1. Regional supervisor R. Satyanarayana recognizes the crucial aspects of examination center selection, invigilator appointment, and evaluation process management to ensure fairness and transparency. Recognizing the significant role of private colleges, the authorities have held meetings with their owners to discuss and strategize the management of practical exams. Ensuring that every student undergoes practicals exemplifies the district’s dedication to a comprehensive evaluation system.
As Visakhapatnam prepares for this pivotal academic event, the education authorities remain unwavering in their commitment to providing a conducive and fair examination environment for all students. The comprehensive preparations, proactive approach, and focus on holistic education set the stage for a successful inaugural district-wise Intermediate Exams.
