Prez award to Sarfaraz for poll management

The Election Commission has selected Sarfaraz Ahmed, Joint CEO, for Best Electoral Practices Awards – 2023. Sarfaraz Ahmed, Joint CEO, Telangana’s received special Award for Election Management from President of India Draupadi Murmu on Thursday at New Delhi on eve of National Voters Day.
The 1995 batch IASS officer, listed about 55 best practices followed during Telangana elections. As per Sarfaraz, several initiatives which had a positive impact on the election process, assessed and measured through the metrics of participation, transparency, engagement with stakeholders, and conduct of free and fair polls, were taken up during the 2nd SSR and during the conduct of polls.
