Prime Minister dedicates IIT Hyderabad Campus to nation

The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) witnessed the dedication of its transformative campus development project to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conference on Tuesday.
The ceremony marked the culmination of years of meticulous planning, cutting-edge construction, and a commitment to sustainable growth. It included key buildings such as the International Guest House, Convention Centre, Technology Incubation Park, Knowledge Centre, Sports and Cultural Complex, Students’ Hostels, and various academic and administrative buildings, collectively valued at Rs 1089 crore.
Tamilsai Soundararajan said, “IIT Hyderabad is known for its excellence in technology and innovation with top eight rank in Engineering and Top three rank in Innovation by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023. “I have been witnessing the campus’s progress since my inception as Governor of the state. The development of low-cost ventilators by IITH’s Innovators was once a personal memory. Being education is now student-centric, I am sure many such novel initiatives will be making a mark in the journey of Viksit Bharat”.
Dr BVR Mohan Reddy, Chairman, Board of Governors, IITH, “The dedication of the IIT Hyderabad campus to the nation is a testament to our unwavering commitment to academic excellence and innovation. This world-class facility sets new standards for educational institutions in India and aims to be the Top-100 global institute in the future.”
Prof B S Murty, Director, IITH, said, “The dedication of the campus to the nation is a proud moment for the entire IITH community. It reflects our vision of creating an environment that fosters interdisciplinary research, sustainability, and academic brilliance.”
Sachiko Imoto, Senior Vice President, JICA, said, “JICA is proud to be a part of this transformative journey with IIT Hyderabad. The dedication ceremony is a symbol of the successful collaboration between India and Japan in the field of education and technology. We would like to place on record our gratitude to all authorities for their support that made this moment possible. iHub-Data at IT-Hyderabad announces collaborative initiative with technical institutions for AI/ML training programes
iHub-Data, the technology innovation hub affiliated to the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad, is gearing up to expand its educational training programes. In regards to this, the officials announced to introduce a five-month faculty development program (FDP) that was approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as three FDP units at the IIITH premises on Tuesday.
Dr CK Raju, Head of Educational Programs at iHub-Data, IIIT Hyderabad, said, “This year it aims to establish connections with technical institutions, including those in and around Hyderabad, to provide specialized training. Our focused programme will target students interested in pursuing higher studies and research. Additionally, we plan to introduce a five-month faculty development program at the IIITH campus, approved by AICTE as three FDP units.
Prof CV Jawahar, Dean of Research and Development at IIIT Hyderabad, said, “Significant effort has been invested in crafting the curriculum and training methodology for these educational programs, setting them apart from conventional online training initiatives.
Our primary concern has been to establish an approach that optimizes training resources, enhancing the competency of young undergraduate engineering students in developing solutions using AI/ML techniques and frameworks.”
