Protests erupt over Cong denying MLC ticket to Dayakar

Followers of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) general secretary Addanki Dayakar registered a strong protest for replacing him by TPCC working president B Mahesh Kumar Goud. Addanki Dayakar’s followers across the State staged protests.
The followers, leaders, activists and also Mala Mahanadu leaders staged a protest at Dr BR Ambedkar’s statue on the Tank Bund. The agitators alleged that the Congress had heaped insults on Addanki Dayakar.
Mala Mahanadu leaders and activists staged a huge protest under the leadership of Mala Mahanadu Telangana unit president Pilli Sudhakar. While speaking on the occasion, Pilli Sudhakar demanded that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy fulfil his promise given to Addanki Dayakar. He questioned the Congress party to tell what sort of culture it is to insult Addanki Dayakar time and again. Why the Congress is insulting Telangana protagonist Addanki Dayakar.
The Congress party leadership should discourage the forces who are coming in the way of Dayakar’s political ascent.
In Medak town, two Mala Mahandu activists, Bathula Prasad and Venkatesh, scaled the Cell Tower at Ramdas Chowrastha and staged a protest demanding that the Congress party give MLC ticket to Addanki Dayakar.
In fact, it is learnt that the party has changed the name of Addanki Dayakar at the last minute due to a lack of support from the party’s senior leaders, particularly from the Nalgonda district. Another major reason is that the Congress party has more leaders from the Mala community, it is learnt that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy tried hard to include Addanki Dayakar’s name in the list.
