HC finishes hearing Arvind’s plea against Kavitha

The High Court finished hearing the petition filed by BJP’s Nizamabad MP, Dharmapuri Arvind, on Tuesday. Arvind had filed a petition in the HC against the way MLC Kavitha spoke. The High Court said that it is common for politicians to talk about each other and suggested that public representatives should work for the people.

High Court judge Vijayasen Reddy said that they see political developments happening outside in the media and newspapers.The petitioner’s counsel Rachana Reddy asked the court to order the registration of a case against TRS MLC Kavitha. Rachana said that Kavitha had threatened to attack Arvind in Karimnagar circle.

Responding to the arguments of Rachana Reddy, the Advocate General said that a case has already been registered at the Banjara Hills Police Station and action has been taken.

Rachana told the court that Arvind was threatened by Kavitha while speaking to the media. The Advocate General said that Dharmapuri Arvind had made offensive statements and the HC that it is normal for politicians to comment against each other.

The High Court directed to complete the investigation as soon as possible. It also said that if there are any accused in the case, the police should also be included.The hearing ended after the arguments were completed.
